New to Church?
We are a community of Christians from the local area of Bookham, Effingham, Fetcham, Leatherhead and beyond.
Our church family seeks to be inclusive and caters for all ages and stages of life, from 0-100+.
New to Bookham Baptist Church or thinking about joining us?
We regularly hold an informal lunch for our newcomers and those who would like to get us know us better. The lunch is held at a ministers home or here at Bookham Baptist Church (depending on numbers), Following a 10.30am service at around 12.30pm. It is a great opportunity to meet some of the staff team and some of our church members, and to hear our vision and ask any questions you may have. What else is going on here?
Thursday Communion Service
On Thursday mornings we have a Reflective service from 10am: a time of guided prayers and quiet space to reflect on God’s impact in our week.
Small Groups
During the week we meet in small groups, where we pray and worship together, building friendships as followers of Jesus. You can find out more about our small groups here.
Kids & Youth Work
With so many families in our church, we have an active kids and youth ministry, building faith in our families and young people. Find out more about our Kids Work here and Youth here
Get Involved
We have many opportunities to get involved, giving practical and financial help to support our church services and activities, our Children’s Centre events and local community projects (such as CAP (debt help), Foodbank, the Meeting Place community hub or our courses.)
Come to our services
Each service is around an hour. There will be songs and prayers, stories from our local community, readings from the Bible and a talk to explain how our faith can bring hope to our daily lives. Some services may include communion – where we share bread and wine together to remember what Jesus’ death means for us.
